Tri-Med Tactical’s Advanced Tactical Operations - Medical Specialist (ATOMS) training provides intense didactic and scenario-based training in austere environments that exceeds the National TEMS Initiative and Council (NTIC) curriculum. 

At the conclusion of the course, the student will have a firm understanding of their role in the tactical environment and how to mitigate the most dynamic situations that tactical units face today. Over 50 hours of continuing education hours are issued by the Ohio Fire Academy following successful course completion.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Participants must bring their own tactical kit to the training. We will provide a packing list once you are registered for the course.

  2. Participants must be a licensed EMT, Advanced EMT, Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant, or Physician.

  3. Participants must have an endorsement letter from their sponsoring agency’s chief staff or approving training officer.

  4. Class fees must be paid in full to be enrolled in the class. Course Cost: $1200 + additional Ohio Fire Academy dorm fees (approximately $150, billed by OFA). The OFA will bill your dorm fees at the end of the course.

  5. Participants are required to dorm at the Ohio Fire Academy’s campus for the duration of the 5-day course.

  6. TriMed and our sponsors will supply working dinners. Students will be on their own for lunch. There are multiple lunch options and a large grocery chain in close proximity to the Ohio Fire Academy.
